Knowing which staff member has which responsibility such as prescription changes and orders and nursing care agenda Things happen faster if you speak to the person directly rather than second hand thru the room attendant or front desk attendant though they are generally helpful

I'm writing this for my cousin who is located in the independent wing of sunrise. It's taken her 2 months to get used to the place. She's starting to become more self sufficient in dealing with transportation. The food is good and various people check in on her daily to see if she had breakfast or lunch. Her unit is small and clean.

The apartment space is fine maybe a little more space than I need. The staff is unreliable Some are caring, responsive, and efficient; others not so much, they are indifferent and dismissive of the needs of the residents. The dining is usually just passable. Not very tasty. What activities. It is very clean. Overall my 4 month experience has not been pleasant.

But it’s important to note that it is entirely private pay, with no option to transition to Medicaid if you run out of funds eventually, and it cannot provide no nursing home care once your needs change and you require a higher level of care than assisted living/memory care.
