So far, everyone has been very attentive with my dad. The director of the nursing staff is is very communicative. The concierge, [name removed], very informative. The faculty itself is very clean and staff well ran. If I had to give a 5 rating to anyone it would be Brittany, the Coordinator. She works magic. We get regular email updates and they have an app, which is helpful. They also have workshops for families which we find extremely beneficial.

Review for Aegis of Granada Hills

Overall the facility is excellent in the care they give. I just wasn't adequately informed of the future costs. Recently they had a flu type outbreak and they asked residents to stay in their rooms for several days. Their food was delivered to their room. It lasted just 4-5 days. Staff wore masks. I told one of the administrators about the fasting problem. I will ask what they have done about that. Communication is usually good.

5 for all. One resident told me they weren't crazy about the food, but my husband likes it. And the menus look good. Everyone is very friendly. My husband was talking about one of his favorite movies and they arranged to show it the next day in the theater. Not crazy about the cost. Entrance fee is high.

I like Aegis Living Granada Hills, but the rooms weren't as practical as those where my mom is. I think it may have been an apartment building that was converted. I loved the lady who gave us the tour, though. She was very sweet and felt very genuine. I also liked the common area room. When you first walked in, they had a couple of parrots there. They also had a beautiful garden area that surrounded the whole building, which I thought was something that my mom would have liked. The bathrooms were not built wit…

My friend was only there 5 weeks until passing. She had excellent care. Everyone who works there was so helpful. I never felt like I was bothering anyone. If there was an issue like falling out of bed they would call me and explain what happened and how she was. Answered all of my questions when I visited or called. Felt welcome anytime I arrived to see her. Others who lived there always looked happy or content when you would see them in the common areas. Also, very clean and smelled nice.

Treating your family like theirs

The staff has excellent communication with residents and family members. They are easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. The facility is beautiful and very well taken care of. They treat each resident with a high level of respect and humility. We feel safe when we are there.
