The tour at AlmaVia of Camarillo was good. The staff seemed friendly. The food looked good. The only negative part was that their outdoor area was not very pleasant. It was very small, and it wasn't as nice as the other places. Some of the residents were very friendly, too. We saw the dining room and the menu. They seemed very nice. It would be nice if they had a larger area, more seating, flowers, and someplace to walk.

We took my mom and toured AlmaVia of Camarillo but they are very expensive. They have two different wings there. They have memory care and assisted living. I think in the memory care, you're going to pay more but they watch you a little closer, and maybe this wing is for the ones that aren't so mobile, as far as being able to get up and out of their rooms, down the elevator and walk to the meal places and various other activities that they have available. My mom's been really happy with the staff and with the accommodations of AlmaVia of Camarillo. She has a nice room, they keep them busy all the time, and I've been happy with them too. She has a private room with all the stuff from her house, a little sitting area, and another area with a big table where I can put all the family photos.
