I was/am still very happy with my selection. Alto is a pleasant facility with staff who go above and beyond to provide a safe, comfortable environment for my husband. Room is adequately sized with a nice big window. Staff seems genuinely caring and solicitous of his needs. Food is decent, not wonderful in Memory Care area . (He can't taste much anyway). They take care of his hygiene pretty well and change his clothes as he needs it done. After ironing out some initial misunderstandings, I am generally quite please…

It is a beautiful place and a great concept- they just do not have enough staffing CNAs/Med Techs/ Transport people etc We felt very mislead. The sales staff may not know about the staffing situation and that it can take up to two hours to answer a call from a resident's communication device, for restroom need. There are also many falls unreported. Our Dad was there less than a month and fell three times and were only told about two.

The intake person at the Alto Overland Park was over-the-top. The memory care unit was absolutely fabulous. They have this gorgeous, gorgeous patio to go out and enjoy the sun, but yet, you don't have to be directly in the sun. They even have a sunroom, it seems like, for their patients. The rooms were spacious, and even the studios. Their pricing was a little over my budget. If I were to stay there, it would be a lot. Their dining area is huge, but then the home is larger. I think they're like 10 stories…
