We were there for 4 months. The aides were capable and kind. His room had a nice view of the courtyard and there was plenty of room in the community for walking around. We were able to access the other dining rooms for meals when we had guests. We only left to relocate to another state

I was a resident of Amavida at Lakes Park for about a year and a half. It was perfect for my needs at the time. My interaction with the staff was very good. My apartment was adequate for a single male. It is a one-bedroom with a bath, a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. There are three meals a day, and they allow you so much money for eating. The meals are not like home, but they're adequate. There are not enough amenities. They have bingo, and they have music twice a week sometimes. Sometimes they have b…

PositiveThe place was new and fresh and well appointed. Pools and restaurants were lovely, as was the library and all the public areas. Gardens were nice too. The bedrooms are on the small side and closet space is sparse. A few of the layouts were goofy; one with a living room you would be hard pressed to get a sofa and tv in and it was right in the a pass through area from kitchen to bedrooms. And another where they combined two, one bedroom apartments to make one and the result was a kitchen counter that was 15 feet lon…

I visited Amavida at Lakes Park. They sent out invitations for a look at their patio homes or their single homes. They're pretty expensive, so that kind of narrows it down to even getting something like that. As far as their independent living, it was good. When I spoke to the staff, they were excellent, and there were a lot of them. You can go right into Lakes Park from there.

Love where I live. This is where I belong. Close to a park where I can walk or ride a bike. Food and service is great. Housekeeping is wonderful. Activities are fun. Something for everyone. Onsite Dr, PT, NP, physical therapy, Great.
