Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center

The family has asked to have the staff set dad's razor and shaving cream out and remind him to shave and this has not been happening. He may go 4-5 days without shaving which is unlike him. Also. They failed to have the shuttle take him to his dr appt this week although they were reminded several times. Staff is wonderful. Cheerful. Helpful. Dad seems to be flourishing.

Took great care of my mother

Amber Glen was extremely helpful and accommodating when we had to move my mother quickly out of one facility and into Amber Glen. They were very caring. One problem that I ran into was when it came time to coordinate hospice care and the care Amber Glen provided. Both agencies explained it well, but it did not always go smoothly for those weeks it was in place.

I toured Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center for my mother, and the people who gave the tour were exceptionally kind and very detailed. They took a lot of time to answer my questions and walked me all around the place. The rooms were very nice, and I especially liked that they had separate dining and activity rooms, depending on the level of Dementia. We were also able to pass by their dining area, and it was very clean and well-organized. I was very impressed with it, and I would have loved for my mom …

They don't have enough staff to follow through with promises and then Mom fell through the cracks and wasn't fed We paid extra for her to be fed and it didn't happen Then you can't leave as there are no facilities in the community to take her We were not kept updated on her condition.

The staff at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center is wonderful. They're very forthcoming with information, very helpful, and have answered all my questions. They take a phone call every time I call. My husband's room is very clean. They provide all the linens, so his bed is always clean and changed. It's very well decorated and very cheerful. He has a roommate, but it's quite adequate for two people. I think what they're charging for all these places is freaking criminal. It&apos…
