Mom likes the people and is making friends. I think the facility itself is so lovely and charming - very sunny and nicely decorated, feels very homey and warm. Her apartment is small but cute. Also sunny, which is important in Maine! The one consistent complaint she's had is about the food. But honestly I think she's just sort of a food snob and not accustomed to what I would call dining hall food. She's had a hard time getting the staff to accommodate some of her dietary preferences. Ashton Hardens is a beautiful and warm retirement center. The residents are very friendly as well as the mangers. There are a lot of activities to keep everyone busy as well as a movie theater and weight room. I have only been here a month and I love it here. I highly recommend Ashton Gardens.

PositiveWe had a very thorough and informative meeting and tour of Ashton Gardens with Community Sales representative [name removed]. [name removed] was professional, outgoing and friendly. She answered all our questions in a direct and straightforward manner. We were impressed with the friendliness of all the staff and residents we met. The shared public spaces were bright, airy and spacious and the apartments we saw were clean, comfortable and well maintained.
