Very caring facility. We looked at numerous facilities and Avantara stood shoulders above any other rehab in terms of their concern for each individual patient's needs. Olivia and her staff go out of the way to help the patients. It is hard to find the perfect facility but overall this is the best that I could find in the area.

St. Matthew Center is a 1-story facility. It's a nursing home and there's a certain portion of them that is for hospice care. The facility looked clean and nice. When I walked in there, I didn't smell anything. However, I was really surprised at how boring it was at the rehab facility. There should be a lot of noise and a lot of people talking but I didn't see too much of that. It was so dull. There were little to no activities. The accommodations were okay. My gramma spent the last 6 or 7 years of her life in this facility until she passed only a few weeks ago. She was a very sharp woman, even until her last days, and as far as we know there weren't any major complaints. The staff seemed kind and seemed to take care of her. The facility seemed to be in good condition, although sometimes they kept the temperature a little too warm.
