The rooms are nice if they have the housekeeping staff to clean them. They paint a pretty picture during a tour, but what you see and hear is not what actually is delivered. They are habitually short staffed, therefore always having an excuse as to why the residents aren’t getting the care they were sold on. Laundry, toileting and showing fall way below what you would want for a loved one. Especially when you are paying extra for the services. Parents lived here 2021-2023. Main reason we chose it was the promise of multiple different activities onsite as well as outings. Specifically, gardening. We were told not only did the residents garden both flowers and vegetables, some of those veggies were used by the chefs in the meals. No gardening at all. Meals were obviously from Sysco cans. We toured Avanti Senior Living at Augusta Pines. I like the fact that they serve meals multiple times a day. They have a facility for working out and exercising, and a place to get your hair done, nails done, and feet done. They have a maid service to come in and clean for you. The kind of things that we were looking for is the one that helps us cook and clean. However, it's really kind of expensive. They offer lots of things they do NOT deliver

I have been here often to visit my mom. There is very little activity throughout the day. Art is twice a month, though they told us they had "lots of art and Spanish classes and music" when we toured. There are no such things. The residents are in their rooms by 4pm, everyone set up to watch TV. Communication between staff at change over is minimal. Medication mistakes, poor housecleaning. I visited the assisted living facility of Avanti at Augusta Pines, and it's the one that I like the most because they have a combination of assisted living and memory care. One of my parents is going to be on the memory care side, and the other one is more on the assisted living, so given that they have those two together, they might be able to accommodate them both in one facility and give a little more privileges for my mom to wander around the other space. The people at Avanti at Augusta Pines were very nice. The lady who took us through the tour was fabulous. The rooms were small. Even the two-bedroom unit did not have a whole lot of closet space. My furniture wouldn't fit in there. The upkeep of the place was perfect. Someone had just moved out of the room the day before we toured, and they were getting ready to paint and replace the carpet.
