PositiveI toured Avista Yuma. It's all on one floor. It's very nice and very clean. They are just really friendly people, all of them, even the people who live there. They have an outdoor area where you can go out and sit in the sun. They have grass, bushes, and trees in that area, so you're not confined inside all the time. The dining room was very neat and clean, and we had lunch there. The food was really good. It just felt like home. Because I don't drive anymore, the lady who drives me wherever I h…

CriticalAvista Yuma was nice. The people were very friendly. It seems like they all have been working there a long time. It was just a little too far, and it was expensive. I don't know how long my mother is going to live, so I don't want her to be completely out of money and have to move or whatever. The rooms were too small. I know my mom wouldn't enjoy it. It wouldn't work for her. The staff was very nice and very friendly. Nothing wrong with the employees at all. The one room they showed me had no c…

PositiveI toured Avista Yuma. My first impression of it was excellent. The first thing I looked at was the cleanliness and the smell. I noticed that visually, things were very comfortable and pretty to look at. It was very nice. There is an outdoor area that looks safe where the elderly could go and enjoy the outdoors. Critical[name removed] wasn't happy with his experience there...the previous resident in the respite apartment had apparently kept the keys to the room & medicine cabinet...so [name removed] had no way to lock up his medicines, or the room, when he'd go out of it...the tv quit working, so if he wanted to watch tv, had to go to their library, and watch what ever was showing...He needs his food puréed, as he has trouble choking if trying to swallow otherwise. They will decide if they'll accept you based upon the answers they…

CriticalI toured Avista Yuma. If I had seen anybody in the community, I would have given us a higher score, but the only person I saw was a lady in her room. Nobody was in the hall, so nobody was anywhere, and I'm a people person. So that kind of freaked me out. I didn't try the food. I thought it would have been dinner time. It was between 6 and 7. She said they had already finished dinner, and nobody was there. I didn't even see any leftover dishes or anything. So, I thought this was weird. Everything was …
