My parents are residents of Aviva Valparaiso. Most of the staff was very nice. I ate there. They have lots of choices of food. The food is good. The facility, it's nice and clean. It's pretty much updated. They have all kinds of activities. It is a lot of money, but you're getting a lot of stuff. It had a nice atmosphere. My mother has Alzheimer's. So if she progresses, she can still be in the same building but be in the memory unit, which is right there. So we don't have to move her.

The staff greetings were very pleasant at Aviva Valparaiso. The admissions and finances were also pleasant and helpful. Most of the staff in the Memory Center were always helpful, not enough of them. Housekeeping needed a little more effort, but again not enough of them. Meals were usually warm at best and sometimes cold. I would be hard pressed in recommending Aviva but that would be mostly for the cost, kinda of not getting what you're paying for. I know almost all the facilities like Aviva charge the similar amo…
