My mother is in Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center for rehab. They looked like professionals. She has her own room, and her doctor recommended it. It's modern, and it looks nice, but I can't go inside. Her room is large, it has two beds, but she's there by herself. It's both assisted living and rehab. The overall atmosphere is nice, professional, and clean. We chose them because they took my mom's insurance.

The building is very nice and the rooms are generous in size. There is very good maintenance of the facilities. The staff is friendly, caring and well trained. All seem to work well together. The building is always clean and we'll staffed, even during holidays. There are activities planned throughout the day, even on weekends. Family is always welcome to visit and if concerns arise, staff are quick to respond. Our loved ones has been in several facilities and this is one of the best.

I would not let my dog stay at the Village of Avon. My mother was there for 1 day. They charged her for physical therapy that she did not have and the staff did not know what they were doing. My mother had had open heart surgery and they had no idea how to take care on someone in her condition. We had to call an ambulance to come and pick her up from the Village of Avon and the EMT's could not use the door that was closest to her room. She had to be taken to the ER just to be stabilized enough to go back to th…

My father needed skilled nursing for a while, but they didn't have that level of care for him. The staff seemed OK. The facility in general just didn't feel as homey. My mother had been in and out of Village of Avon for some rehab work. He was there for rehab for a while too. He had a pretty nice room, and I liked the layout. They are just kind of a little notch below the others.

I've never experienced a facility quite like Avon Health & Rehab. I couldn't find one thing I wasn't in love with when touring for my mother. The staff is friendly, the building is clean, and the residents actually seem to enjoy being apart of the community :) I'm happy to have found such a place and I'm more than comfortable knowing that the Avon team is taking great care of my mother.
