Unsafe environment despite stellar receptionist and tasty food

The Resident Care Director has poor organizational and leadership skills. This has lead to Mom's medications running out without my being notified in a timely manner. We had to scramble to get refills approved. Falls are not reported to the family. We only find out if Mom happens to mention it or if bruises are seen and we ask. My mother has developed dementia and the Azalea staff has been helpful, friendly and understanding. Though the facility doesn't advertise memory care, they help the residents anyway they can. Dementia is ubiquitous among the older population. Azalea realizes that and they are making do. I'm on a first name basis with the head nurse. I toured Azalea Estates and did not like this facility at all. It was way too expensive for what is provided and not very clean.

I am very satisfied with the whole experience at Azalea Estates of Fayetteville. We chose them because I felt welcomed right when we walked in. The lady who greeted us was very helpful and we felt they were genuine. It seemed that they really cared for the residents that were there. If you share with them the needs you think you loved one needs, they tried to meet those specific needs. I would highly recommend this facility to others looking.

We toured Azalea Estates and we really liked this facility. The only reason that we did not put my mom here was because she was needing memory care and they do not offer those services here.
