It's a nice place and overall she likes it. Nothing is ever perfect. She complains sometimes when they don't serve food she likes but she's picky. She loves the apartment and the size is right for her. She loves the cleaning lady and the 3rd party caregiver. She hasn't really tried any activities yet due to her health at this time but hopefully that will change with time.

I would have liked to have made it my home. I have looked at a lot of places, and Azalea House was about the best. The first thing I noticed was how many people were roaming around and enjoying their selves. The place seemed to be clean. I didn't eat there, so I don't know how the food was. I didn't think much of the menu for that day, and I didn't get a chance to see monthly menu. So I wouldn't base my choice on 1 day. The personal seemed to be efficient and friendly. They were very helpful in getting mom into a room. They showed us 2 different models. They have been very nice to mom and she is eating well. Her dementia continues but it is stable. I need to get laundry set up for her but I have been working to much.

We visited Azalea Park's independent living community, and we are choosing it. We went with them because it's really close to the mobile home park we're at now, so it's easier to see our friends. It's very pretty. The apartments were nice, the staff was very friendly, and it had good activities. We liked the outside grounds, too. I toured the independent living community of Azalea Park in Lakeland. I really liked that one, but it would not be a good fit for my cousin because she needs assisted living. It was beautiful just where it's located, the outdoors, and the inside. Everything was just clean and modern, and it was just very nice.
