CriticalThe staff are rude and don't respond when you call for them. The food is gross and they have little to select from. I couldn't even get a chicken salad. The doctor only goes once a month. They do not take care of there patients.

PositiveMy mom was at Evergreen Bakersfield Healthcare for three weeks. The only way I could see her was through the window, but what I saw was that they were very attentive to her, and everything looked very clean. They brought her meals out to her, and if we brought her something, they would go and take it to her. I would ask mom how they were treating her, and she said very good. She's in a shared room, and because of COVID, they weren't allowed to roam around. The staff was very attentive, very friendly, and …

PositiveMy dad was recently in the facility for 3 months. He needed skilled nursing help and therapy to use his limbs and walk. Our family and my dad had a very positive experience with Evergreen. My dad liked the food and the nursing and therapy staff were terrific. He re-learned to walk there and was able to come home. Very clean facility. No bad odors. God staff coverage and attention to patients. I would highly recommend Evergreen. I have only good things to say about the facility and staff. My dad says he was treated …

PositiveWhen my loved one was released from a primary hospital her goal was to return to her home. She went to Evergreen where she received excellent care. She had a great room with lots of space and big windows. The nursing staff was knowledgable and efficient while always being polite and considerate. While the patient is their primary concern, they were very kind and accommodating to family and friends as well. The physical therapy and occupational therapy professionals were wonderful. They gave her opportunities to pro…

CriticalMy mother was in this nursing home for rehabilitation and unfortunately it is better than many in Bakersfield. The staff seemed to care, but they were hard to find and many times they all seemed to be in the lounge instead of attending to the patients. There is no cell service in the facility and there are no phones in the room. My mother's first roommate was dying and so her room never had fewer than 8 extra people sitting around. There should be a private place for such patients and their families to say the…
