My husband will be moving into Bella Terra Morton Grove. The main reason why I chose them is because of what I saw in the physical therapy, because that's what his basic need is, and I was impressed. I didn't really interact with anybody except in the physical therapy room. There was a person sitting there that I could talk to for a minute, and she happened to be a swallow therapist, too, which my husband needed. My father was at Bella Terra Morton Grove. I didn't think it was that good. He had a private room. They were attentive, but there was nothing special. There's nothing to make you want to say it is great. It was kind of average in terms of services, food, buildings, and rooms. Upkeep and maintenance were medium. It seemed like a lot of things were kind of rundown and could use a refresh. I didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff and my father didn't have so much to say. They did the basic…

I had my mother at Bella Terra. It was terrible. It was far more expensive, and the treatment was really bad. They didn’t have enough staff. It’s $8000 a month for memory care, but there’s not enough staff. My mother fell in the bathroom because she had to go to the bathroom, but nobody was attending to her. And a bunch of her stuff was missing. I don’t know if it was a resident that took it or if it was the staff that took it. They finally found it, and it took them about a month to find all her stuff. I have family in this care facility. When i visit them, the nurses are understaffed, those of the staff that are good people, who actually try to do their jobs are few. My family member is in regular distress due to panic attacks and anxiety, no counselling or psychiatric care is provided, no anxiety medicine is even thought of. The staff doesn't do anything to calm upset residents except occasionally call family members and let residents ask for help themselves. Some families have to come daily multiple times…

What I liked about Bella Terra Morton Grove (Formerly Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre) was it was very clean, it was newer, and it was close to my mother's current house, so it is a good location for our family. They had a calendar of activities. They had exercise, religious things, and more. The staff seemed very nice and very competent.
