★★★★★
PositiveMy husband had been in the TCU twice since March 2026. We found the direct care staff, therapy staff, administrative staff, cleaning and reception desk awesome. The personnel at this facilty were just great. They were kind, attentive and provided care to my husband in a most professional manner. They answered questions promptly and I would definitley recommend the TCU at this facility.
★★★★★
PositiveThe food needs improvement. Everything else was great. Wonderful staff all around. Activities good but could use more games or card games. A lot of bingo. Cleanliness was great and apartment size great
★★★★★
PositiveThe apartment is very spacious, food in the dining room is good, with bright open spaces with lots of windows. They have very friendly residents and staff. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

CriticalConnected or adjacent to hospital. That could be a plus or minus for some. Parking was a little challenging. Entry to me kind of felt a bit like I was entering a hospital unit - waiting room to the right with a chapel behind that. The staff and the rooms were very nice. The services were also nice. Great option for respite-care too. For us, it was not the ideal place for us, aesthetically and the location.

CriticalMy husband stayed in Benedictine St. Gertrude's for rehab. The room was fine. It was bigger than what he's got at the other facility. It was fine, but it wasn't clean. I brought a cleaner and cleaned, and the smell was bad in the whole place. The food - that's where he lost 15 pounds. His food was always cold. I would heat it in the microwave, and half the time I couldn't even tell what it was. It was not good. I would not recommend Benedictine St. Gertrude's to anybody - not at all. B…

CriticalOur mother has been at St. Gertrude's for over two years. There are serious issues regarding the quality of her care. The dining room is small and crowded, and doubles as an activity room. It is difficult to walk through the room at meal time, due to the wheelchair bound residents and how inappropriately small the room is for a facility with 100 beds. Most of the residents are left confined to their rooms for most of the day, as a result. There is a staff shortage and sometimes no activities on the weekend.
