PositiveWe toured Bickford of Macomb. I thought it was wonderful. They were very helpful. We went back twice because we wanted to view some of the other rooms, and my mom couldn't remember. I thought they were very helpful, and I thought it was a great facility. My mom just didn't want something so small. They had a hostess plate, so we had snacks there when we met. They have an arts and crafts room. They have an exercise room.

PositiveMom's apartment at Bickford of Macomb is very comfortable. They have exercises, movies, card playing, dominoes, and just the typical stuff. The food is very good. They are very caring. The facilities are very good.

CriticalMy dad has moved into Bickford of Macomb. It's good. His room is very nice. It would be nice to have more space, but the price was good for this, so we went with this middle-priced room. The staff members are very nice, very helpful, and very friendly. Amenities are probably where they may be lacking. They have some activities, but my dad has not had any that he wanted to participate in other than they have kind of a church service there. He is missing not having a room to exercise in. Where he was before, he …

PositiveWe are so happy we found this community for my father-in-law. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. You get a very welcoming feeling when you come in and it is very home like because he has his own apartment and his stuff in it so he feels like it’s home. He enjoys the food and being able to have friends and social time when eating. It is always clean and tidy. They have a nice patio area if he wants fresh air. He loves joining in the activities like movie night and they had some local singers come and sing f…

PositiveBickford of Macomb has been the nicest of all the senior homes that I visited. The staff was warm, welcoming, interested, and cared about the residents. It was well put together and well thought out. The rooms were nice and looked comfortable. The facility itself was lovely and the food was good and served nicely.

PositiveMy profession is an Elder Law attorney, and I am my county's Public Guardian. I have visited and looked after clients and friends in a number of facilities from complete skilled care to independent living. Our family placed my grandfather in Bickford about a month ago. I visited this weekend and was in the facility several times. The negative review from 2012 does not describe at all the facility that I experienced. First, it was exceptionally clean, and first class in appearance, quiet and comfort. The staff …
