Good overall experience

I have been in both assisted living and independent living. The staff is wonderful, the food varies. They run out of things sometimes, like crackers, milk, ice cream. Looking for a new chef. I'm heading back to independent living in the next week or so. I miss not having a patio or balcony where I am now. The whole place is clean. They just replaced carpet and paint in all the halls and common areas. The apartments are adequate. Some have their own laundry hookups, but I have not been able to get one of them. Th…

Disappointed and discouraged

Lots of lots of stink bugs. Had to kill them all the time in the unit. No activities really for Christian community. Lots of alcoholic events. Not a lot of activities for really elderly people.

My Experience

I'd rate them at a 4 only because they don't provide toilet paper for the residents and they don't do laundry, at least not their personal laundry, they'll do towels , but that's it other than that, they've been relatively good. Very expensive there. The bill is running around 8 grand a month. Which to me is a lot. Evidently the food is decent as well. I guess I expect a lot more for that amount of money.

Bonaventure staff is wonderful. They are very attentive to the changing needs of the residents. In hindsight I wish I had been more focused while reviewing the care plan. It is very important in transitioning.
