PositiveMy mom has been staying at Briarwood Village. She's in their assisted living and overall, we've had a positive experience over the last eight years. Our dad was initially there as well for the first three years before he passed. They initially went into the facility due to my mother having some memory issues. They went into assisted living together as a couple with one being independent and the other in assisted living but they lived together in the same apartment. Over the years, whenever there have been…

PositiveI live in Florida so have not been home since their move. My siblings who live close to my parents stated it is nice. I really have heard nothing negative so far except some of the residents who live there weren't overly welcoming to my mother when she joined a bingo game one day. But my sister spoke to activities director about it. My Dad just states his food is cold a lot. But they are at that age where I'm not sure how true some comments are. It is cheaper than their previous facility.

PositiveBriarwood feels and operates like home. The caregivers are kind and treat Mom as I would hope. They encourage her to be the best she is able. They keep me well informed. It is the cleanest place I have ever seen of it's kind. I am so very grateful for this help.

PositiveOur loved one is in one of the apartments on the grounds of Briarwood Village and does not yet need or receive any care. Actually it is more of a townhome, it is a free standing home with 2 apartments. What we really like about this community is the personable staff. The head of maintenance, [name removed], gave us a tour of the apartment prior to moving in and checked in with us during and after. Based on out experience we would recommend this community to other families.

PositiveMy dad is a resident of Briarwood Village. We liked the facility because of the cleanliness and it's fairly new. It has a nice curb appeal. They have a microwave, and a small, college dorm refrigerator. The staff were very quick and prompt. I haven't had any issues with them. He seemed to like the food, of course, it's not like home-cooked meals and he's been on the farm his entire life, so it's a little challenging for him. They do have options if there's something that he does not ca…

PositiveBriarwood is great. I would recommend it highly. They are very caring and conscientious. My mother is getting excellent care. She went from the skilled side and to the assisted living side, so she is now in a two-bedroom until a one-bedrom becomes available on Monday. It’s very clean and neat. She has her own bathroom and kitchenette.
