★★★★★
CriticalNot totally horrid but not great
Constant turnover of lead staff and care staff have created a facility with inconsistent services and varying levels of quality. Some months it is great- then others are awful in terms of response time, meal quality and med management. To get a decent level of service you have to always be advocating and bringing concerns to the attention of multiple folks before anything might be done. While the common arenas are accessible, individual rooms are not ADA compliant
★★★★★
CriticalInconsistent care and staff
After living here for almost 2 years we have had 4 directors and too many care staff changes to count. Meal quality and variety have recently improved but still lack in availability of fresh fruits and vegetables at each meal. Towards the end of each month they seem to run out of certain items. Wait time for calls for assistance ranges from 15 minutes to an hour depending on time of day and who is working.
★★★★★
CriticalLOOK ELSEWHERE
Look elsewhere for your senior independent or assisted living provider! After a several years experience at Brookdale Allenmore I would never place my elderly parent there again. Chronic poor food quality, high staff turnover (particularly new chef every 4 months) very slow maintenance for simple fixes, high monthly costs with average $[removed] yr increases it’s obvious to me Brookdale is run for PROFITS ONLY! Educate yourself on the CA Atty Generals lawsuit against them and you’ll know why…

PositiveFriendly Staff with a commitment to the residents
It is an older building. But still clean, just a bit dated. Staff was friendly and professional. Huge opportunity with activities. Meals looked good.

CriticalReview for Brookdale Allenmore AL
I would not recommend. There are many incidents that did not provide care and in some instances were harmful.

CriticalBrookdale Allenmore
Needs updating and food quality is quite poor. Slow response to call pendants. Direct care staff were very nice. Not a lot of activities in the assisted living section.
