PositiveExcellent home for parent with dementia
The staff have been wonderful to my mother and maintained great communication with us. They clearly care for her well-being which is evident in conversations and updates. This was a difficult transition to make but she has settled in comfortably and reports enjoying the facility. They provide lots of activities for their residents. Additionally she has had the opportunity to go on several outings with a small group which has really boosted her health and morale.

CriticalBrookdale Meadowmont
They are often without enough help. They went for 2- 3 months without someone to clean the rooms. When there was a fire alarm, no one checked with the people on the third floor and 2 employees were smoking cigarettes outside. It was a false alarm but the residents did not know that. I was there with my parents on the third floor and we saw no one the entire time the alarm was going off.

CriticalMedication management issues
Staff is OK. Some are really good and others aren't at all. Activities are good . Their medication management is abysmal. I had several days where I was given incomplete medication or incorrect doses, and when I opened the my meds they returned to me at the end of my stay they included medication that belonged to another resident. I also found medication on the hallway floor on 2 occasions.

I am a resident of Brookdale Meadowmont. The food is not bad, but it doesn't seem as nice as what I saw at the other facility. Due to staff problems, the housekeeping is at a low ebb. My interaction with the staff is fine. My apartment is a studio, but it's got a window, a closet, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, sink, and counter, and a bathroom. The staff doesn't have enough of them. They have to work multiple jobs and positions, so it's hard for them. I've gone downhill since I&a…
