Staff was very nice and helpful. The entire facility is very clean. The room was very accommodating and a good size for 1 person. The food was good, the couple of times I ate with my husband. He only attended 1 activity, the one I was able to attend with him, and it was fun and very enjoyable. I used it for Respite Care for my husband and they usually don't accept temporary care, but they opened their hearts for me because they knew how urgent it was for me to find a place for him. My husband is in Brookdale Pearland. The place is very clean and organized. His apartment is a perfect size for him, so I've been happy with that. Getting him settled in was not an issue. As for his meals, there's not enough food, but he gets his three meals, and they're healthy. I have no complaints. The only concern I have is the turnover of the staff. The past two months, I've had people that I've met and are no longer there, or leaving, or somebody new is coming in, or they're shor…

We had good communication at first but it waned as time went on. I live 4 hours away, but my niece lived fairly close in Pearland. I feel once my sister couldn't do for herself everything went into the ditch. She didn't care for showers and it was difficult for her to let strangers bathe her....but ..for the outrageous monthly charge I would think their memory care staff would know how to handle a dementia patient to make it more agreeable.
