The facility was very clean and orderly. The staff seemed engaged and caring for the residents. Very nice facility.

I went on a tour at Brookdale Puyallup South's memory care facility. It seemed smaller than the one we eventually chose for my dad, but the staff members were all really friendly. The only hesitation I had was just that there weren't as many of them. The facility seemed really quiet and relaxed.

Only Interested In Your Money

This place seems to really not like Medicare patients. Once private pay had been made for several years and my mother‘s money was completely gone. I applied for Medicare for her. Brookdale Puyallup South immediately retroactively removed cash discounts and added on several thousand dollars to the bill. They then threatened to evict her and not take medicare payments until I had paid the bill in full myself. They said they would turn it over to the attorneys and she would be forced to leave. Brookdale Puyallup South was an older place, but it was well-kept. Everything was clean. The place itself looked like they took good care of it. It looked like they had a few things they were doing with the patients when we walked through. It's kind of a different feeling than assisted living because they don't have the capabilities of doing the stuff that people who live in assisted living can do. Great place for a family member

My mom has been there 2 months now, she likes her room, has settled in very nicely Staff are very friendly, helpful Lots of activities for the residents and their families also. They celebrate the holidays with songs from outside people coming in to sing and encourage residents to join in. We are happy with the placement we choose for my mom

My family would not recommend them to anybody.

It was not a great experience. We left after my mom was there for only a month. I don't even know where to begin. I could go on and on. From not being able to gain access to the building, we literally sat in the foyer for 20 minutes, trying to gain access, to my mom having medicine in her pockets, on the floor, in couch cushions. To her room being a mess every single time that we went there. Food being left out for multiple days. My mom had one shower in a month. We discussed with leadership over there on multiple …
