My grandfather has been at Brookdale for a month so far. The staff are all very nice. His room is perfect size for just what he wanted. Food is actually pretty good. I have ate with him a few times. Everyone is very friendly there and they make you feel like family. I would recommend the community to others.

CriticalIf I could give this place a zero I would. I showed up for a scheduled tour and there was no a single staff member to be found. Anyone who walks in has access to any part of the facility - upstairs, downstairs, resident rooms. There was absolutely no one. After 10 minutes I called several numbers and either the mailbox was full or I was transferred to the main corporate number. What if there was an emergency? I wouldn't know what to think of this facility because when I showed up for my scheduled tour no one was there. I proceeded to go upstairs per the sign on the concierge desk and there was no staff around. All of the doors are unlocked. I could literally wander in and out of rooms unsupervised. We are very lucky to have my mom at BSC! She is very happy and it's been like family. All of the executive staff know each resident and their families by name. They gently encourage participation in the daily activities which gets residents out of their rooms, creating friendships. I know that when I go out of town, which is frequently, I have the peace of mind that my mom will be safe and cared for.
