Brookside Place

I visited this facility

I visited Brookside Place. I just showed up one day, and they spent some time with me. The facility wasn't too big, and it was all on one level, so there were no stairs or elevators that you had to use, and I liked that. It seemed adequate. The staff who assisted me were very nice and very thorough about things. They had a small library, and there was room outside to walk around that was safe and private. I'm sure it's an old facility, but it's very well-kept, clean, and quiet, so it was nice.

Rooms are spacious, the staff are very personable and caring to all the residents. The meals are homemade, not from a box, and good size portions. The Activities person stays very involved with the residents and the activities are great.

Amazing place for my Mom and Dad. All their needs are taken care, but above that, their emotional needs are always a priority. I'm very hands on and have high expectations and I feel I made the best decision choosing Brookside. I've learned alot since moving them in their apartment, and Brookside staff, all them, have supported me, helped me and loved me too.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my loved one. It’s a nice place, only has a single floor, and it’s less expensive than a few other places we had taken a look at. However, they didn’t have a space available at the time that we were looking so we weren’t able to move him in. The person that gave us the tour was able to answer our questions and even took us to see a resident’s apartment so we could at least see what it looked like. The residents seemed to be happy and content. We would’ve liked to…
