My mom has been placed in Canterbury Gardens. The staff has been great. They helped me fill out paperwork. First of all, they took her because she was a problem placement. She had been turned down by several other places, and they did take her, and so for that, I'm grateful. The building needs some attention, like every building. They seem to keep them busy. They took her for a bus ride once. They put her on a bus and took her out and took her for a ride, which she needed. As for value for money, my mom had ve…

I felt like the caregivers at Canterbury Gardens were very genuine. They were very transparent and very kind, too. I think they truly care for the guests there. Most of the employees that worked there had been there a long time, which is a good sign that there is stability in management and the care of the patients. We toured Canterbury Gardens. We talked to some of the staff. They're very knowledgeable, very polite, and very nice people. They're joyful and easy to talk to. That place is big. They have a lot of residents. It was very clean and very well-kept. We had lunch there, and the food was pretty good.

Review for Canterbury Gardens

I have nice things to say. For me it was close so I could stop and check on her every day. I got to know staff by name. I would recommend yes. I think that mom received a good quality of care. They often did seem understaffed. Sometimes this was due to challenging residents. Some needed more care than others in the memory care wing. I think mom was one of the easier residents. Staff seemed to like her very much.

Wonderful facility & staff, great atmosphere

Excellent, welcoming community in a home-like setting. Food is pretty good but sometimes cold or over-cooked. Residents & staff are friendly & helpful. Call necklace does not distinguish between life threatening emergency and routine assistance calls, & sometimes response is not immediate.

Positive

Mom is happy!

The staff seem to genuinely love my mom. She really loves them too. She's always hugging them. And I love that they are free to hug her back. Touch is so important for dementia. They found her a roommate that is an absolute perfect fit. They are best pals and do everything together. We take her whenever we take mom. She's just become a part of our family now.
