great community

only for the particular wing my husband was in they need more staff. 3 for quality of care, because of the shortness of staff. The rest was not really applicable for my husband. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families! This was a tough situation with my husband and they were always kind.

Décor in common areas is somewhat country/antique. Clean and well- maintained, not run down. Staff is very helpful, patient and accommodating. Food is good by my mother's report, and activities are frequent. My mother attends an exercise class each morning and really enjoys that. Another note: they have nice courtyards and gardens so residents can have a nice stroll with flowers but not get lost. They can even tend a garden if they wish.

What they could improve on would be response time and the food. However, what we like the most about the community is the location and the ease of visiting. They also have a very friendly atmosphere. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

Helpful Staff

We have had a great experience. I would rate all categories a 5 if you can afford the cost. Staff always eager to help. Friendly. Contacts me when she needs something they don't auto provide. They handle all medicine, help with bathing, transport to doctor, etc. Getting first haircut on Monday right on site.

I visited this facility

The staff members at Canterbury Inn were caring, knowledgeable, and very kind. They followed through with me. They tried very hard to help me with our situation. It was a beautiful facility. It was very well maintained. The staff members looked like they were there for a while, so it seemed to be managed quite well. The place was very clean, too.

I’ve been staying here since the 3rd or 4th of January this year. From what I have seen and been subject to the staff is very caring and considerate of the residents. My time here has been very enjoyable. My medical needs are cared for by a 24 hour nursing staff. The meals are better than what you might find in most institutional settings.
