CriticalI visited an old friend there from time to time and I think Cardinal Woods had more potential than what is portrays out, they need to step up on the cleaning and keeping their residents rooms, hallways, walls, residents, offices, entrance ways and restroom cleaner and more organized. They need better housekeeping. It honestly is a filthy place and until they clean it up and staff it better with person centered care and less people with attitudes and more Plesant individuals running the place it would run way smooth…

PositiveI was in Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing & Rehab. It was clean, the food wasn't too bad except for me being diabetic, and it was a little too starchy for me. They made chili soup a couple of times and barbecued rib. Those two meals were pretty good. The staff is excellent, they don't have a lot of permanent employees, they have some on every shift, but mostly they rely on staffing agencies to send in nurses when they need them. They work 12-hour days, three days a week, and then they're off for fo…

PositiveI have a family member there now, The rooms are always clean and staff does an amazing job of taking care of him. The food has greatly improved recently where he has stated that he wishes I could cook like that for him. I will say that it seems like this place is starting to turn things around and i for one am looking forward to the continued care of my family member. Thank you to all the amazing staff for being so responsive and sincerely doing their best for him.

CriticalMy husband was in Cardinal Woods for rehab. They were neat and tidy. They got him rehabilitated and sent home. I got a little irritated with them because my husband wasn’t given medication as he should. The rooms were pretty small. Some were caring and some weren’t, and were only doing their job.

CriticalDo not send your family member to this place...The care is horrible ...the staff does not know what they are doing..aides doing procedures only that a doctor or RN should be doing..My family member ended up in ICU in less then 24 hours after admitting..and will never go back to this place..by no means are they a vent weaning facility..ODC should be notified about this facility @ will be...I cannot give this facility a rate..

PositiveCardinal Woods was by far the best nursing home I have been in. Individual rooms, you are allowed your own belongings. High def tv in every room. Activities for what ever wishes to spend time doing them. I found the staff to be kind and caring, and would listen if you needed to vent. At times, if stuck in bed, they were they did not come immediately, as so many red lights were on. Still if the time comes and I must go into a home. I will choose this one. I never smelled urine ever. You complain if you are not happy…
