CriticalMy husband is at CareOne at Wayne's assisted living facility. He's adapted quite well. He seems to be content, although he wants to come home because he misses the family, his routine, and freedom. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. He goes to bingo, karaoke, and concerts. The hospital sent him here for therapy, and they have all the equipment in case he falls, so I thought this is a safer place for him because there's availability to deal with falls.

PositiveI think the administration and most of the staff really tried to care for my husband. However, there were some nurses in the rehab area downstairs that were truly excellent and others that had a very bad attitude and could care less if they did a good job. The administration was aware of this problem as well. As far as the assisted living area, my husband was there about two weeks when he took a horrendous fall and was very seriously injured. In all fairness, my husband was a huge problem in that he was constantly …

PositiveI feel as a family member you need to address any concerns you have with the facility or staff immediately. Don't just think it will resolve itself. If the management doesn't know you have concerns they can't address them. The staff at care one was wonderful and caring. You just need to keep the lines of communication open!

PositiveMy father-in-law was a temporary resident there. The staff was terrific. He celebrated his birthday while he was there. They made him feel so special and not forgotten on his special day. In a world that moves too fast, it is refreshing to see people who genuinely care. Their kindness did not go unnoticed, and it is a reminder that good exists in everyday moments and we can lift each other up!

CriticalFood good, some rooms old, paint peeling, secluded, new wing brighter and much nicer. Understaffed, a few good staff, a few really bad staff. Had 2 nights of nightmare incidents, the minor one being a strange attractive African American coming into the room to turn off our nurse button, and when we asked if she was the nurse, she said "no" and turned off the bell and walked out. Patient was left to wet the bed in desperation. Would NEVER recommend this place- worse things going on than can be shared.

PositiveI toured CareOne at Wayne. It was very homey looking. It was nice, and everyone was nice, but the prices were outrageous. The person was very nice and helpful and answered the question. They were doing something in one room, and one of the residents commented to me how much he loved it there. It's very clean, well-kept, and has a nice reception area in the front when you first come in.
