PositiveOver all great. What can I say, it has it good point and bad point. Over all it was great and better some other places.

CriticalThis place is WORST!!! Staff tells their personal sob stories of broken relationships with family members. Bennie went on to share how poor he is and that he and his boyfriend keep breaking up. UNPROFESSIONAL! We have cameras installed and someone from their staff keeps unplugging the cameras and winding up the cord. His father keeps falling and the STAFF there keeps moving his walker across the room out of his reach despite my husband telling the staff to NOT do that, they don't listen. If you care about your…

PositiveI toured Carlton Senior Living San Leandro. It was very good. The place was very small. I wasn't even thinking too much because they don't have any private rooms. My friend Orvis has to have a private room in memory care but they don't have any private rooms. Carlton San Leandro is a beautiful place. The staff was nice. Sheila was great and I met a couple of the other staff.

PositiveI went to look at Carlton Senior Living. I liked the rooms that they showed me. They had a studio and one-bedroom apartment. I like the common spaces that they have. I found the building to be not just clean, but the common spaces were open. There was a lot of light. They had a patio there. It was a large area with a walking trail, and I really like that.

PositiveMy Mom has alcoholic dementia and is doing as well as can be expected in large part due to the community and services provided here. She has needed more help over the past year, congruent with the natural course of her disease, and will eventually need full memory care but for now she is fairly independent. At this point she has some extra help with medication management, with bathing and housekeeping. She also gets her primary medical care onsite and they have done well to serve her needs. She is overall happier h…

PositiveI was at Carlton Senior Living San Leandro to visit a friend. It was very clean and very neat. There was a place downstairs where people just kind of hung out and talked. The outside was very well-maintained. Everything was nice, neat, and trimmed. She was in a studio. Considering what these places cost, I think she was getting her money's worth. She just wasn't that crazy about the food. It's just different than she was used to. Other than that, the place was fine.
