Carmel Hills

We had a great tour experience with Carmel Hills. The main drawback for us and the reason we did not choose this facility was because of the location - there is TONS of traffic in the area. If you live nearby it is probably not bad, but we were coming from a ways away and it was very congested. She was in a place close by here previously and it was difficult to get to. Other than the location it seemed like a great place.

We found Carmel Hills for Mom. It has been a very good experience, primarily because I am now close enough to visit her every day. They are able, with the hoyer lift, to get her out of bed and into a geri chair, so she isn't just lying around the bed all day. They have worked with us to try to figure out what is best suited for her in this setting and this situation. We've needed to puree her food, and they're willing to work with us. There are not enough words to describe Carmel Hills! It is the most wonderful loving place. My Mother lived there for 14 months and was taken better care of than I could ever imagine. The people that work there became family. They have all been there for years and years. They cared for my mother and loved on her every day. Best Kept Secret in Charlotte

I would shout it from the rooftops if I could how great this place is. It is thoroughly Christian and it shows. My mom spent 6 years there, 5 on the independent side and 1 in the care center. Even though she had Alzheimer's and started losing her memory early on in her stay, she was always treated with respect and dignity from the residents and the staff.
