I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Carmelo Park is a smaller community, so they have an easier time providing one-on-one care with the residents who live there. They are activity-centered. I got to meet their activity coordinator and talked to her about it. My mom does not just have Alzheimer's. She is also blind and the coordinator is very mindful in making sure that the activities are inclusive, which can be challenging when not only do you have memory issues, but also other issues like my mom do. They have a lot of different types of activit…

Caring Community with Excellent Communication About Needs of My Loved One

It is smaller than the community next door. It depends on the individual; however, they have been able to accommodate a friend of mine into this community. The staff's communication and proactiveness about my friend stand out to me. They have been amazing to work with. The staff is nice, has a clean community, provide good care, and healthy food. I would highly recommend this community to others.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is in Carmelo Park. It's just a normal facility. It doesn't look any different or anything like that. It's an older facility. It's not huge, but it's quaint, and quiet, and it's in a nice neighborhood. A lot of people enjoy their time there. The staff is very nice and professional. The services are adequate for what the people need. They do things every day. They have Bingo, poker, dancing, and activities that keep everybody entertained.

I visited this facility

Carmelo Park was nice but expensive. The facility was very nice, and they treated us to lunch. They had a beautiful patio and a nice wall that they can jump over. It was comfy, and the people are nice. It was clean, and the staff was wonderful. The owner or manager was very nice and treated us very nicely.

I visited this facility

Carmelo Park is pretty large, and they have a lot of clients. It seemed nice, and they gave me an excellent tour. The person there was very accommodating and gave me a very good tour. It's a good location and inside was very good, and they have a little area outside for people to sit. They have a large deck on one side of the facility so people can sit out there, so it's a nice place. They have a salon where the ladies can get their hair done, and I think they have an exercise room. They had a big room wh…

Wonderful Staff

My mom was a resident of Carmelo Park until her recent passing. Our family visited several facilities before selecting Carmelo Park and we definitely made the right decision. The staff is very caring and definitely went above and beyond to make her time there as happy and comfortable as possible.
