PositiveCarolina Village had wonderful amenities. Their stuff was new. It was very very well done. The overall construction feel of the project felt very, very good. We've eaten there several times and the food was very good. The cleanliness was excellent. We thought it was a very well-kept facility. We looked at the villas mainly that were duplex or townhouse type. While small, they were nice. One of them we looked at was quite a bit older. Some of the others got newer as they increased their facility, but overall th…

CriticalTremendously overpriced. If you are healthy this is a decent place. Get ill and problems start. Communication internally and communication with family is awful. One gets the impression the goal of carolina village is primarily to get money up front, then try to get ill residents out of facility asap to bring in more money. Med center care is lacking hope your family member does not end up there. OT is poor. Leadership is not accountable nor do they expect their employees to be accountable for inaction.

PositiveI have read the review by Linda S. and I couldn't disagree more. We have lived here for 8 years and couldn't be happier with everything that is offered. I have even had experience in the Medical Center following surgery in April and my care there was so excellent; the employees are friendly and helpful, respond to requests promptly, meals are delicious--I could to on and on. I live in independent living with my husband and both of us love it here. There are so many activities offered, medical staff in independent l…

CriticalThe marketing staff and all the promotional material paint a very pretty picture of life at Carolina Village. The reality is something very different and very disappointing. Anything you are promised during the sales pitch, be sure to get it in writing even if it has to be an addendum to the Occupancy Agreement. We didn’t and we lived to regret it when Carolina Village reneged on an option that exposed us to daily invasions of our privacy. We lived at the Village for 10 months but realized within 4 months that we h…

PositiveMy mother-in-law was at Carolina Village. If you're very mobile, there are all kinds of interest groups. They have a gym, a woodworking facility, a pool, and all kinds of physical therapy activities. It was a very lovely place. They had a chef, and the food was prepared. They had individual selections. The food was very good and plentiful. They have walking trails, trees, and a pond. It was very nice, pretty, and serene. The staff was very caring. They knew each client who lived there by name. They had someone…

PositiveThe room that I was interested in at Carolina Village was very open and had lots of windows. I was very pleased with the openness and the airiness of the rooms. It didn't feel like you were closed in. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the ones that I met. They have a nice exercise area, and you can go there two or three times a week, or whenever you want. They have someone there who would help you out if you needed help. If you wish to, they take you on bus trips to different are…
