Horrible Memory Care

First of all, I can only speak to the Memory Care portion of the Cascades. The person in charge is [name removed]. My Aunt was not cared for properly. Her clothes were dirty, had food spilled on them and not cleaned up. They do not do any activities with the patients. Don't be fooled by the menu, they feed the residents hot dogs and fried potatoes, mostly what I call a middle school cafeteria diet. So many of the staff are terrific. Think upper management could be more responsive/honest. During the recent hurricane, emergency generators went out leaving some residents without electricity for a week, no emergency lighting in stairwells (ER exits as there were no elevators), yet upper management declared there were "no problems" during the storm! Prices have increased significantly over the last 2 1/2 years though we do realize the economy has had a great deal to do with that. They can't seem to keep help so th…

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am thankful for my home in The Cascades. My needs & concerns are always met efficiently and with care. I recently lost the use of my air conditioning unit and my washer. Maintenance replied quickly. Both problems were evaluated and found needing to be replaced. I now have a new washer and dryer and air conditioning unit. My apartment is now always comfortable, and my clothes are clean. I am very grateful to the maintenance workers who put my needs into action. Special thanks to Belez, Cristian and Brian.

The rooms are very lovely, asd is the staff and the food is wonderful. Activities galore. However, the cost is very, very high.. There is a very expensive upfront buy-in which will cover assisted living if you need it. However, the monthly cost is over 4000 dollars for a single person , with a less then desirable view, and a smaller apartment. If you choose to leave, You must wait to get your buy-in back for an extended period of time 6-18 months. In addition you need to give them 6 months notice to leave. I found …
