My family was lucky that our mother went to Cedar Creek memory care. The staff was exceptionally caring and warm to each resident. Unlike the other facilities we visited in Bloomington, which always seemed empty and cold, residents here were never left alone in their rooms. Even nonverbal residents or those with severe dementia were part of the group as they were taken to sit in collective areas and brought to activities no matter their level of participation.

Caring staff

The staff was extraordinarily kind and caring. The activities were great. [name removed] was the Activities Director when my mom was there, although I think she has since left. The room size was fine, the food was fine, and the community was very clean. The only complaint I ever had was that they didn't keep the residents' laundry organized. My mom frequently wore clothes that did not belong to her. Other than that, I thought it was a remarkable place, and I would 100% recommend it.

All 5. They are very kind and responsive. [name removed] the activities director is wonderful. She is so good at dealing with the residents. [name removed] the residence director is helpful and we would recommend Cedar Creek community to other families

Beautiful facility. A Place for Mom is a wonderul tool in starting the Assisted Living/Memory Care process. Time is our most valuable asset.

I believe the admin staff is outstanding as you can have frank discussion as to the mental state of the patient and issue therapy be having and resolve the issues. They are friendly and supportive of the family and the patient.
