My father was sent to The Center of Northridge on Tuesday March 31st. When I showed up on Tuesday evening to see my father. I found him sitting in a chair in soiled clothes. When I went to find someone to help me. I was told they did not know he was even in the room. The staff said he had not been evaluated yet. I was told I could not stay because it was 8PM. When my mother went to the center on Wednesday morning to visit him, he was not there. The center had sent him back to the hospital during the night and NEVER…

Most of the staf are efficient, kind and caring, with one glaring exception. A CNA named Mayra has been the most difficult person I have ever worked with. Examples: In the first week I was there, developed a severe case of gout and unable to stand or walk for 2 days. On the third day feelin much better, I asked Mayra to help me up to walk. She refused to help indicating I would not walk again. I finally had to call the front desk to get someone to help me up. It took minimal effort to get up a walk. After that I go…

The rooms were nice and clean. However staff needs to be better informed on MOST form. The admitting nurse for my husband could not understand that one can have DNR but also put full care below! I was amazed that DNR means to that nurse no care, it means do not attempt CPR if no heartbeat but if breathing yes do the full care. I had to have her speak to a MD who explained MOST form. It was upsetting for me and my husband!

I will admit, this facility is cosmetically appealing, but the inconsistent quality of care is extremely frustrating. It is apparent that some of the staff are not happy working at Northridge for whatever reason and several occasions I would hear the nurses/nurse's aides complain about how much work they have. My wife survived grade 4 brain cancer for over five years and was in remission when she came here for help in walking. She was dead in less than two weeks from a GI bleed no one detected. Her treatment by many of the CNAs was borderline neglectful. She called me at 3 a.m. to tell me that a CNA told her she would have to pee the bed because she didn't have time to take her to the bathroom.
