PositiveChesapeake Health and Rehabilitation Center was quite nice. The problem is that I'm unable to drive, and they had no minibus to take you places, so I'd be stuck. Other than that, it appeared to be clean. They did have physical therapy. The few staff members that I met seemed quite pleasant and professional. I just kind of worry about it being a little bit out of the way. I have transportation to a medical facility or to my doctor's appointment, but it's nice one day a week to go somewhere outsid…

CriticalI wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. This place is filled with roaches, disgusting food and smells of urine. Many residents call out and yell for help and they are ignored. It’s a sad and depressing place for your loved ones to go to, even though it’s temporary. They are also extremely incompetent and messed up all of our discharge paperwork.

CriticalRooms are old and not kept Killed four roaches and one was on the wall above my mom’s bed. Food is cold and gross. Nursing staff is wonderful but they are soo busy. Therapy is intermittent

CriticalThe building had a urine smell in the halls. Most of the staff were not interested in caring for the the clients. I witnessed residents in need waiting for long periods of time and staff spending too much time on their cell phones. The bright spots were my fathers PT and OT ladies who rocked!

Hiring so many that are agency and don’t know the residents, poor hygiene especially showers. Only 2 allowed per week and that’s if you remind staff and nag them. It’s exhausting and depressing for myself the family member, not to mention m…

CriticalHeat down in both units 3&4,rat traps all around the outside of facility, insolent nurses letting patient lie in their own urine and feces, telling them "you'll just have to wait',no compassion shown at all.I would not send a sick muskrat here.
