PositiveMom loves the food, especially the desserts. I had to bring some larger pants in for her. Mom recently started going on the group outings, and she looked so happy in the photo at the restaurant. I've never had a bad interaction with any of the staff. [name removed] the memory care director really impresses with her deep knowledge and positive attitude. Everyone is very accommodating when Dad comes to visit Mom, even though he can be a handful, too. Mom has a group of girlfriends she loves to chat and eat with, whic…

CriticalI can tell you that the clarendale of Addison did their best to accommodate the extreme needs of my mom and dad. However, my dad had to have outpatient antibiotic treatment and was out of his room for 42 days. They made me pay for that empty room, I don't think that's right. Also he just transferred out a couple weeks ago and I went 9 days over the month because we were trying to find another place that would accept him because clarendale did not have sufficient help for him. I told him I wouldn't pay for the nine …

PositiveI would like to say that Clarendale gives too much authority to whoever's in charge of the healthcare. They wanted to move my mom into a memory care unit when she didn't need it to be. That's why we took her out of there. She spent a week in memory care with people who didn't know who they were just because she kept having these little slips off her chair. I think they were just worried about getting sued and thought they could just throw her in memory care.

CriticalClarendale would allow my mother-in-law to have access to cookies and chips and any snack. She wants 24 hours seven days a week when she is diabetic on insulin has a Dexcom monitor. It was causing her to have severe agitation. Then they decided that they would give her as needed anxiety medicine once to two times a day every day instead of as needed so I would rate them zero. They then try to charge us a 1:1 care because she's agitated because of her diabetes she would go up to up to [Amount Removed] every day. Sh…

PositiveMy dad ended up not going into the Clarendale community and staying at home with my mom, but Clarendale would be our first choice if he does need a higher level of care. I can't give enough praise to Linda, the sales director and the director of the unit (her name escapes me at this moment) but she is phenomenal. Her unit is spotless, the staff are friendly and attentive, the patients are clean and dressed nicely. She has structured activities of all types throughout the day and even had decorations that she made …
