PositiveMy dad started in an independent building, had a medical crisis, and is now in assisted living. I find the staff refreshingly upbeat, kind, and caring. Most make the extra effort to greet residents by name in the hallways, for example. Having 3 different locations to get meals, and the ability to get take out from the Bistro, ensures a great variety of food choices and settings to enjoy the food, which is better than other places we visited. I’m there a lot, and am so pleased with *everything*— even things you don’…

CriticalRoom size is great cleanliness is good trash rooms are clean and smelling fine. I don't participate in activities nor do I eat their food, but I think there's a lot of activities here that are good. My problem is with the management. I feel discriminated against which I am and I am not able to speak without an appointment and witness person to the executive Director. Some of my meetings are not being met even though I'm on the list they keep saying I'm not for what it's worth the manager of independent that you and…

PositiveWhen I toured Cogir at Glenwood I felt immediately that this was the place for me. The facilities were clean and inviting, the apartment we toured was spacious and well appointed. Several if my criteria were met. I wanted an in unit washer and dryer, a complete kitchen and some outdoor space. These needs were met. I ate lunch at one of the three restaurants and my meal was tasty. As I’m a movie fanatic, I appreciated their good sized movie theater and that there are eight movies shown each week. They have a ton of …

PositiveOverall - too much staff turnover. But the staff that was there were caring and kind. Facilities were ok when in a remodeled room, otherwise dated - but they are working on it. Overall it's a positive experience.
★★★★★
PositiveThe care is excellent - the caregivers are helpful and friendly and having nurses available 24/7 is great. The dining room food is average but the availability of cook to order lunches and dinners is excellent. There are a lot of activities. The facility is clean. Her apartment has an efficient layout/size which makes it comfortable and perfectly adequate. Occasionally the front desk staff is not responsive to requests.

PositiveWhat we like the most about the community is the friendliness and welcoming environment! The only issue I had with the administrative staff is that they did not schedule a meeting with me to explain all the services. For example, the code to get in after 7 pm and where that back entrance is located. Or, can someone notify me when supplies are getting low? Things like that. The front lobby is very nice and provides an opportunity for people to gather and visit. The Bistro Cafe by the front lobby is super nice. They…
