COMMON DESTINY

My father has moved into Common Destiny Care Home. It's a home, and it's very clean. They provide warm lunch, and the people are nice there. His accommodation is OK. He has basic things he needs. He is comfortable. It's small. The people can spend more time with each resident. It's a small place, so it's quiet and peaceful. It's a calm place. He does a little bit of exercise. This senior care facility is not for for the active, it is basically for the bed ridden only, not far from hospice care. The food looked less than desirable. The plus side is the 2 or 3 to 1 care givers to patients and the owners, one of whom is an RN. The facility is clean and in a nice neighborhood. If I had it again to send my 95 year old Mother to Common Destiny, I would again.

Of the 4 facilities we visited, we liked this one the most. Facility was very clean and caregivers were a delight. We also liked new owner and the fact that his wife is an RN specializing in geriatrics.

This facility was VERY clean. The one geared for memory care is actually in Union City.
