PositiveMy husband was in Cranberry Place. There was a lack of communication and maybe a little bit more lack of experience. I'm mainly talking from a social worker and billing point of view, not so much the nursing staff. This is where my husband was before he went back to the assisted living facility he was in, and I do not feel there was good communication because medical records and things like that have to be shared between facilities when people are coming and going, and I do not feel that was very well handled …

PositiveMy mom was here for 6 weeks with a trach. All the staff were excellent. Shirley, the respitory lady, even came in on her day off to be with my mom when she got her trach out because she was scared. The ladies that did the food service were also so nice. One of nurses even cut my mom's hair as it was matted from her coma. Was clean and no usual pee smell at all.

PositiveCranberry Place had a very, very helpful staff. They were very caring. The food was great. I got to eat there with my father. They had all kinds of activities. They had a calendar posted in all the people's rooms of what was going on every single day and there was so much to do. It was great. There's a nice window view of the outside. They even have a garden in which they had birdhouses hung in so you can watch the birds outside, feed, and eat. It was just a very nice place. The facility was very clean. T…

CriticalExcept For A Few Aides And Nurses. Most Of The Staff Did Not Appear ,To Have The Right Disposition For Their Current Position. My 24 Days At UPMC Cranberry Place Were Awful. If You Care About Your Family Member Do Not Put Them There. The State Should Do A Suprise Inspection.

PositiveMy mother was a patient at the facility for several weeks. She had some difficult health problems and the Nurse manager along with rehab, dietitian and other staff members came together to care for my mother in a team approach to give her good care. While not all care givers where responsive, my mother had several nurses and aides that where responsive and caring. Staff kept the family informed and we felt that they truely cared. Meals were fair, facility was clean and upbeat. My mother did not participate in activ…

PositiveCranberry Place is nice. It has everything that somebody would need. It has an activity room, a game room where people can go to, a barbershop, a hairdresser, Sunday worship, and a snack station room where you can get drinks and there's vending machines. It's clean and people seem friendly. My dad is in a shared room. The size is OK, but they could be a little bit bigger. The workers are nice and they take good care of the residents. They have a daily packet of information that comes with a list of all th…
