CriticalManagement has recently changed at this facility. In short order, many of the long-standing staff left or have been let go. Medications have been missed; staff has failed to schedule required medical appointments. Basic assisted living services like resident showers and bed making are being neglected.

PositiveMy mom is in the memory care of Dow Rummel Village. She started in an apartment in the assisted living area, which was a nice size with a bedroom and a bathroom, a little living area, and a kitchen area. And then after about a year, she was moved into the memory care unit, which is a little smaller. And the reason they do that is that they kind of forget where they're going and how to get around in a bigger room. So, she has a smaller room, but it's perfect for her. She's got a bathroom, an area for …

PositiveMy mother will be moving into Dow Rummel Village. They had the right program for my mom and it will fit all of her needs. It's a very well-kept, nice-looking facility and has an incredible number of amenities. The staff was very knowledgeable, very caring, and very thorough.

PositiveWe looked at both assisted living and independent living in Dow Rummel Village. There's also one type they call Flex, it's in between where if you need more care, you can add that on like if the person needs help with meds. That's paid, I think, by the month so then you end up with a monthly total. As their client's age and they need more care, they just start to add on like if they need laundry services and so on. I kind of like that instead of having just one set fee and you go from assisted l…

PositiveI just moved my aunt at Dow Rummel in Sioux Falls. I was able to virtually tour it and we chose the place because they have an onsite physician so all her care could happen right there. They also have a lot of things for their memory care residents to do. It's practically a brand-new facility, so it's really nice. They have a swimming pool and a hot tub, and they have therapy that they can offer to their residents there. It's also very homey and comfortable, and they have this little nook for the res…

PositiveThey are easy to work with. They listen to the family members as well as the patient. They communicate back to family members. The food was good. The room sizes are really good. They have outdoor space for residents to use. They have a movie theater and a woodshop and craft areas. They also have virtual golf and hair salon. They also have transportation.
