I visited The Village Concepts of Burien El Dorado West. I toured for independent living, and one of the things I like is that they do not have assisted living and independent living separately. You just have your apartment, and then if you need more help, they send someone up and bill you separately. You don't have to move into a separate building. They had all-day dining, too, which I really appreciated. If you miss lunch, for example, they have an all-day menu. You can go back late and order off the all-day…

I really liked El Dorado West. It's a very lovely facility. It was very warm and welcoming. They have a large dining room where people sit and be by themselves, or they can sit with somebody else. There were a ton of activities. I liked the fact that they come in and change the linens on a weekly basis, and my sister doesn't have to purchase food or prepare food. The staff members weren't communicating very well with each other because I gave them the deposit and I called them to get the deposit back…

El Dorado West seemed like a very friendly place, it had a lot of amenities, and really, the one key factor for my parents is that they know someone there so that helped them choose that location. The actual location was also key for my parents as it's near all their doctors and those kinds of things. They will be moving into their assisted living in mid-May. Their staff members are very friendly, very informative, and very helpful.

El Dorado West was a great place. It would be our #1 choice. It's a beautiful place and immaculate. If I was looking for a long-term community, I would move there today. That's how much I liked it.
