PositiveWhat I liked most about Elim Shores were the very knowledgeable and welcoming staff, the decent-sized rooms, and the views out of the rooms. I just had a good feel to it for myself. The staff was attentive, considerate, and respectful. They had different places to relax. You could walk outside to the pond or lake, and they had an activities calendar that seemed to cover a variety of interests.

PositiveI just moved to the independent living community of Elim Shores in Eden Prairie, and it had everything that I wanted. It's a Christian-based center with good management and an excellent care facility with excellent meals. I don't eat that much, but they offer three meals a day and do a good job in that area. CriticalI really liked the sense of community. There were lots of activities and a great social environment. I think it's probably a great place for people who do not need assistance. The problem is that my mother [name removed] did need assistance. When Elim Shores did her assessment they told her she was a great candidate to live there and that they could support her needs. PositiveElim Shores is a nice facility. However, there is no dishwasher. They need to update their kitchen. Otherwise, they seem like a nice bunch of people. They don't have meals there. You have to cook your own, which is fine, but the kitchen is kind of small.

PositiveI would recommend Elim for others. They made [name removed] move in go smooth and her apartment was clean and move in ready. I’m not the resident, and I helped my friend [name removed] find a more suitable safer place to live. I would like to see her try out some of the many activities, but she seems to be resisting participation.
