My sister was here one week. The nurses had no sheets to change her bed, not once. It was so HOT inside, the nurses were getting sick! The owners would not put air conditioning when it was 88 degrees 2 days in a row! It is a shame the owners would treat patients and staff terrible. Under staffed too.

MY MOM WAS RECENTLY A PATIENT AT ELMHURST RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION, THE MOST HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES. MOM WAS TRANSFERRED FROM A LOCAL HOSPITAL. UPON ARRIVAL, THERE WAS TO BE EQUIPMENT FOR HER TO BREATHE AND TO MAINTAIN A LEVEL OF OXYGEN FOR HER SURVIVAL. WHEN WE ARRIVED, THE EQUIPMENT WAS NOT THERE- THE STAFF HAD TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT-WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVE AND THE FIRST APPARATUS THAT WAS GIVEN TO HER WAS CRACKED - WAS NOT SAFE FOR HER TO BE ON . Do not send your loved ones here if you care for their well-being. 99% of the staff is great, the management is horrendous. You cannot ever get in touch with anyone when calling, no option to leave a voicemail. All they’re about is money. They refused procedures because it wouldn’t be paid for. Don’t believe a word they tell you. After 13 days the one call I did receive was to tell me they’re putting my Mom out Monday at noon, which I appealed; it was naturally denied. PositiveCaring Staff and PT second to none.
When I broke my leg during the beginning of the Covid-19 out break I was able to obtain a private room. and the Staff was fantastic. They took great care of me pushed me to great the rehab needed to get back mobile. I would highly recommend Elmhurst Rehab and Health center to everyone. Along with not allowing family to visit during that time the Staff made me feel like one of there family and time flew by. Great People, Caring People, Family.

The stay at Elmhurst Rehabilitation has been pretty good actually. My loved one seems to enjoy his overall therapy program. He does have his days but for the most part, it has gone very well for him. I would recommend them to a friend.
