We went to Emerald Crest of Burnsville. It's a very nice taken care of community. It seems like they have lots of activities for their residents. The food looked good. The rooms were nice. It just seems like an overall good place. The staff told us about the nursing staff and the directors and how many years they've been there, and that was very impressive because they have very seasoned staff. We toured Emerald Crest of Burnsville. Their program sounded good. When I was visiting, I saw residents doing some activities over there, like some group activities, but that's it. It's only memory care, so they don't have assisted living. The upkeep is great. I was there in winter, and I know that they have a huge space outside. We moved my mom to this facility and was told the cost would go down $400.00 per month if she improved.She did improve which really made our family happy...the caregivers are amazing at this facility.the cost per month never came down. I personally witnessed a male caregiver get rough with my mom...she was never handled by male caregivers again. We moved my Mom to Emerald Crest when her needs increased. I must say right away that the care was above and beyond three other facilities she had been in. We did have a problem with a male caregiver handling her in a rough way but we instantly arranged for female caregivers only handling her from that day forward. The female caregivers treated her with respect and love like I never thought was possible. I moved my grandmother into Emerald Crest from another Augustana facility (Regent) in mid-Summer, as her ability to manage and organize her day declined alongside her memory. The teams at both EC and the Regent were incredibly helpful in placing my grandmother when her needs for care increased. They take good care of him!!

Since moving into Emerald Crest, my husband is doing quite well. They are working with him and overall I think it is an amazing place. I am very happy. I already have recommended this facility to others because I have had a good experience. The appearance is great, I just find that it is so much calmer and there are so many activities. My husband participates in most of them.
