CriticalMy friend was discharged from Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster. He was there for four months. The physical therapists were great. The community itself was horrible. They mixed up meds, they let the residents go a couple of weeks without bathing, and trying to get a nurse was a good half hour away minimum. They were very short of staff, but when they tried to get discharged, it was like pulling teeth to get them out of there. We had to threaten legal action for them to discharge my friend. They had activities, …

CriticalIf you must put a loved one in this facility you really need to be a very strong advocate for their care and be aware of EVERYTHING including their meds, etc. If you aren’t prepared to do this you need to find a better facility.

CriticalMy wife lives in Lancaster Manor. It is not too bad, but it has gone downhill. It used to be a city owned and now it is privately owned, and they don’t run it very well. My wife doesn’t like it, but she has been there for 10 years now. I’ve eaten there a few times, and food is about a grade lower than hospital food. I think if they improve on the meals, everybody would be a lot happier. I know my wife would be. Activities are basic, but they have people come in and play instruments for them and play bingo all of th…

PositiveI visited my father at Lancaster Manor just about every day sometimes twice a day until his death on April 20, 2015. My father was in a couple different nursing homes due to Alzheimer's. I am so glad that he was able to spend his last days here safe and loved. The staff were great, they treated him with love and dignity. Towards the end of his life he needed a lot more one on one time and he really got it. Of course we would have rather had dad at home but this really was the safest place for him. I really can…

PositiveFabulous place with even better staff! I was so impressed when I walked in the door for the first time to find it beautifully decorated with state of the art equipment in their therapy gym. My friends mother was there for about a month in their short term rehab unit, and the nurses were AWESOME! And the table side meal service is the best. Of course our resident loved the dessert cart! I would recommend Lancaster Rehabilitation to everyone and anyone. Top notch service by top notch staff.

CriticalHorrible place. Don't send your Loved one there. Staff are incompetent. Had a loved one there and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Ask for Tylenol and they bring it hours later. The residents diet was soft and didn't get anything soft if they did it was only 2things - for example cooked carrots and mashed potatoes. Our loved one would not received any supper meals if family wasn't there. Who knows about the other two meals. Made medications errors more than one time. Family had to ask to ch…
