I am/was a resident of this facility

The building and rooms, common area are kept quite clean. First impressions are great. After living here for awhile I realized issues. Favoritism by staff is a daily occurrence and makes life difficult. In general, staff takes good care of residents and takes care of their needs. Again some receive preferential treatment. Gossiping is the residents and staff favorite activity and some are cruel and relentless. The resident's council ( low participation in monthly meetings ) has taken the position of unjustly m…

Rude staff member

If I could give 0 stars, I would. At first, everything seemed like peaches and cream. Then a certain staff member was hired. She treats the residents horribly and when we reported her, management was "shocked" to hear it (even though multiple complaints have been reported). I realize they are short staffed and help is hard to come by, but at the risk of mistreating the residents, shame on Evergreen. Please think twice before sending your loved ones here.

Amazing and Wonderful

Evergreen Village of Fort Wayne is an amazing place full of warmth compassion and caring individuals. A place you can call home. It gives a piece of mind where you can have assistance and independence to be your own person. It's been awhile looking for a home and here I was able to do that.

Evergreen Village at Fort Wayne was brand new, and it was built almost specifically for Medicaid and Medicaid waiver. It's very, very nice. It had a lot of activities. That's where my husband was going to go, but he needed more care than that. They had two big pool tables and card tables. When you walk in, it's like a huge room and a lot of people were sitting down there, some in their wheelchairs, some were talking to each other and they had newspapers. We like everything about Evergreen Village at Fort Wayne. The apartment has everything my dad needs, which is really nice. They will come in and help him with his meds if needed. A one-bedroom apartment is what we were looking at. They provide the appliances, like a smaller refrigerator. You can bring your own bigger refrigerator as long as it fits in the space they set. The staff was good. They have a display, so that the residents can see what the food is that they are having each day. They have snacks sitting ou…

Evergreen Village at Fort Wayne is very good. They seemed to care for their residents. My brother's room is very nice. They came in and cleaned it, did his laundry, and everything. They take really good care of him. They have recreation places where they can play cards or pool or do arts and crafts. I would refer it to anyone, because it's just nice. They also have a beauty shop, a spa, and physical therapy. I had lunch with him one day and it was really good. We had hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, gree…
