I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved into Gabriel Manor. We chose this place because of the distance and the cost. The cost is fair. It's a nice apartment, very spacious and clean. The staff is caring, and they're great. I have no complaints with the staff. They have a little sing-around, about 6 o'clock, and a couple of activities. They have a lunchroom and a sitting room where they all gather. Everybody seems to enjoy it, and they have an outside patio.

Friendliness ....to residents 2...to family 4. Quality of Care... 2 big gap in communication between the aides the med techs and physical therapy. Administrative staff... there have been 3 Exec Directors since my father got there mid November... and either one or two interim ED's. Quality of care... as we know in this industry it is very hard to find employees who truly care about the elderly and have a passion for respecting the residents as well as have compassion at the same time. Friendly staff

We chose Gabriel Manor because I knew somebody that placed a relative there and they were very happy with it, also the location was about 15-20 minutes from my house. I have longtime healthcare. I've lost coverage three times. Because the facility did not fill it out correctly did not fill it out or did not do it in a timely manner.

Our Families Experience

We were about a month out from him being there one year and he passed away. Gabriel Manor was great. 5 the staff was so caring and keep us up to date on how his day was. It was clean, good meals, dad could not really do activities but well taken care of. We would very much recommend this community to other families

I visited this facility

I went to Gabriel Manor's memory care in the Clayton area. I don't like the lack of mobility space available for the residents. They have very little outside space to go out to if they want to go outside. It also seems aged, like the place seems old and outdated. From what I could tell, the staff were great but you don't know unless you have your parents in there for a while, find out how they're being treated, and what's going on inside. You don't know unless you go there and hang out…
